When a California 7-Eleven customer entered the establishment, he must have had only one thing on his mind – M&Ms. Because after his credit card was declines while trying to purchase a 75-cent bag of M&Ms, flew into a rage and destroyed the entire store.
Recently, the Santa Ana police released surveillance camera photo to the public which shows what happened during the February event. Simply put, the maniac ransacked the convenience store after he failed to pay for the bag of M&Ms candy.
“In a fit of anger, the suspect struck the cashier in the head, pushed one cash register and printer to the floor, threw bananas at the other cashier, and pushed the other register off the counter,” police said in a statement.
Because the suspect couldn’t afford to buy the 75-cent candy bag, he decided to take his rage at the world out on the store. As a result, he caused more than $700 worth of damage to the 7-Eleven.
“Based on his actions over a 75-cent bag of M&M’s, I’m not sure what his reaction would be to something that’s really serious,” Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told KTLA.
Strangely enough, the police have not yet arrested the maniac. They have failed to find him. That’s why they’ve decided to release the video tapes. The Santa Ana police hope that a member of the public (maybe it’ll be you or a friend) can identify the guy who destroyed the store.
Cops described the criminal as white and between the ages of 30 and 35. He has a medium to heavy build and short black hair. In the video, which is from February, he wore black prescription glasses, a green fleece sweatshirt and blue jeans.
According to the video description, which was published by Inside Edition: “A 7-Eleven customer flew into a rage after his credit card was declined for 75 cents, cops say. Police released surveillance video of the incident in which they say the suspect ransacked the convenience store after attempting to buy a bag of candy.”
Although the footage was only recently released, the public has been enamored with it. The clip is quickly going viral as tens of thousands of viewers have tuned in to see it. Here are some of the comments left on YouTube so far:
